Our History: Plastic Surgical Associates was founded in 1976 by Ursula Steinberg, MD. Dr. Steinberg opened her office in Plainfield, NJ and served the Muhlenberg Hospital community until she retired in 1997. Dr. Strauss joined Dr. Steinberg and the Muhlenberg staff in 1991; and she joined Somerset Medical Center in 1997. With the closing of Muhlenberg Hospital, Dr. Strauss relocated the office to its current location in Somerville.
Our Tradition: We carry on the tradition, established by Dr. Steinberg of serving the whole community crossing economic, racial and cultural divides. Dr. Strauss brings to the practice her own special interest. She is dedicated to the advancement of breast reconstruction, and is deeply involved in the education and care of breast cancer patients. We work to accomodate women with breast cancer, battered women and all those trying to compete in today's job market.
Our Philosophy: Dr. Strauss believes that your time is as valuable as hers. We do not tolerate long waits and neither should you. She also believes in personalized attention. An hour consult is an hour with her. You will not be passed off to the ancillary staff.
